Sheringham & District Branch, The Royal British Legion - Branch Caravan and Poppy Appeal 2009
Sheringham and District Branch of the Royal British Legion launched our Royal British Legion Caravan on Saturday 31st October.
It was a huge success, being used as a Poppy HQ where collectors could collect their boxes from and return them too.
More importantly, it was a focal point where people with queries could pop along to and pick up information. As a Branch we gained two new members and were able to give useful information to many more. We hope to refurbish the interior over the winter months, to enable people to actually come inside and sit and chat. Volunteers with useful trades would be much appreciated, I can't hold a hammer, let alone hit a nail!
