Sheringham & District Branch, The Royal British Legion - Sheringham Carnival Parade 2004
Sheringham has a thriving branch of the Royal British Legion and annually we take part in the local Carnival. In 2004 David Farrow our Carnival Committee Chairman decided to build a float to commemmorate the Normandy Landings. We were joined by over 50 Normandy Veterans from Norwich. We had one of the largest floats on parade that day.
The crowd were very supportive and one of the veterans was quite pleased when several young ladies from the crowd ran over to give him a hug and kiss!
We are proud to take part in this Carnival Parade every year. If you ever feel like
coming to watch us all details can be found on www.sheringhamcarnival.co.uk
